Taking pictures and sharing them

I have a long history that goes back twenty years of making my texture maps from photos I have taken. In the early 2000s, I was heavily entrenched in 3D modeling and animation. Part of 3D modeling photo-realistic scenes and 3D animated movies was the necessitation of high-quality textures that I could map over the geometry. However, those resources were [...]

I'm home from my trip to Boston. My cousin's wedding (the site is no longer there) was quite nice with a great location; even my hotel room had a great view of the city. Anyway, it was nice to get away for a weekend and visit a place I had not been to in a long time. I took a [...]

I finally made the plunge and bought a new camera, but this time went for a Canon SLR. It's only an entry-level model (Rebel XS), but it was a really good deal on Newegg.com; plus it came with a telephoto lens. I should have plenty of fun with it. At least now I can get back to taking pictures again. [...]

I figured I'd give it a shot since my printer has been having issues with clogs in the color nozzles as of late, and the service is pretty cheap as well. The print quality is really good, as expected, and [...]

I finally bought myself a decent digital camera. I was getting tired of borrowing my parent's camera, which wasn't a very good camera, to begin with. Anyway, it's a Canon PowerShot A590 that I got on sale from Newegg.com. It's not the greatest camera ever made (there is a reason they make thousand-dollar cameras), but it seems to have pretty [...]

I dumped a few of my scenic photos on Panoramio (dead link). Which should be viewable on Google Earth and Google Maps. The photos are mainly from around Wisconsin, with a couple from Chelsea, MI and Schenectady, NY.

I have a new web camera set up at my parents house overlooking the outdoor model railroad that I hope to finish someday (maybe next summer). Hopefully this camera will remain ON most of the time, but things always seem to creep up. However, as of right now I'm still working on the positioning of the camera itself. I may [...]
