I decided I didn’t like the look of this site, it was my first attempt with WordPress after all. Anyway, I kept the layout the same, but I redid the bulk of the graphics and colors. As well as fixing as much as I could of WordPress’s sloppy HTML and CSS coding from the default theme they provide. I’m still tinkering with it, so it should be finalized soon. The background image is a work-in-progresss illustration from my next book.

Snapfish
I just received my prints from Snapfish today. It was the first time that I used a service like this. I figured I’d give it a shot since my printer has been having issues with clogs in the color nozzles as of late, and the service is pretty cheap as well. The print quality is really good, as expected, and delivery was fast as well. I will probably do this again as long as I can find some photos that are print worthy.
Return to Gaming
Since, I built my first new computer in nearly seven years this Summer, I’ve been trying to catch up on a long list of computer games that I’ve been dying to check out. At the top of the list was Bioshock, which turned out to be a pretty awesome game in nearly every aspect. The story and setting was hauntingly brilliant, as to how low can mankind can sink. Though, I can’t help think that the upcoming sequel won’t live up to the original. Mass Effect was another game on my short list. It was pretty cool for the same…
World of Goo
I just picked up World of Goo with the “pay whatever you want” sale (similar to what Radiohead did a few years back). I didn’t drop as much money on it as I should have, since I try and watch my spending. But it’s well worth it for this sleek little game. The indie game market is really picking up in the last couple of years.
Robotech
I just finished watching the Robotech series on Hulu. It was the first time that I had seen the show in it’s entirety in over 20 years. My cousin got me into this show when we were kids and I even had all the toys for it at the time. But, seeing Robotech now, like many of my childhood shows, has not aged particularly well. I mean the scope of the war is really well done for a kids show, even as far as showing death on both sides, including casually killing off main characters, something shows like G.I. Joe…
Website update
Everything seems to be finally in place now. I have just a few more tweaks left to do, mostly browser specific adjustments. I really don’t have much to report on from over the Summer. I have begun work on another children’s book, which I am hoping to have done by Christmas. I plan to use some of my vacation days to work on it in the near future. I’m also in the market for a new camera; my current one took an unexpected ride in the washing machine today. At least it wasn’t an expensive camera. I haven’t actually posted…
WordPress time
I’ve been making some changes lately. I just switched my hosting to something a little simpler and less expensive, and I’ve also ditched my own custom content management system for WordPress. I figured it just wasn’t worth while continuing work on my own custom CMS when there are plenty better and free alternatives out there. And I figured I may as well join the crowd. This new site is still a work in progress, so there are a few rough spots left for me to fill in. I got bored of the simplistic white version of my old site fairly…
Spring update
By in large I have nothing really new to report in my life. I’ve regularly been uploading photos from my various activities to my Picasa Web Album and some videos of my niece to Vimeo as well. As for Mistletoe’s Night, it’s now available in its entirety for free as an ebook on Scribd and you can now purchase the paperback of it through Amazon.com, even though it’s still cheaper to buy it straight through Lulu. In the meantime, I plan to do one more illustrated book about a teddy bear before I take a crack at a writing a…
